Chemicals in plastics - A technical report

The report provides state of knowledge on chemicals in plastic.

A chapter of this report is dedicated to the substitution of chemicals and includes several case studies on substitution, including:

• A case study on substituting polycarbonate (possibly containing bisphenol A) in baby bottles
• A case study on the substitution in plastic toys of PVC containing additives such as phthalates
• A case study on substituting PVC and phthalates in medical devices
