Bisphenol A added once again to the list of substances of very high concern (SVHC) because of its endocrine disrupting properties.

The Member State Committee of ECHA supported on 14th December the proposal to identify bisphenol A as a substance of very high concern (SVHC) because of its endocrine disrupting properties in the environment.
News text: 

Under the European REACH regulation, Germany submitted a proposal in August 2017 to identify bisphenol A as a substance of very high concern (*) because of its endocrine disrupting properties for environment.

The Member State Committee of ECHA supported this proposal on 14th December, that could lead again to its inscription on the “Authorisation list”.

Bisphenol A was previously listed as a SVHC in June 2017 due to its endocrine disrupting properties for human health. This time, bisphenol A is listed once again on this list but due to its endocrine disrupting properties for the environment.
