A European survey about the bisphenol S in thermal papers.

ECHA, at the request of the European Commission, should investigate current 2017 about the use of bisphenol S in thermal papers. This survey will aim to:

• check and document,  the importance of bisphenol S as thermal developer  in papers such as those used for receipts ;
• and collect, from  thermal paper manufacturers, information about  potential substitution of  bisphenol A with bisphenol S.
  The results of the survey should be delivered by the end of 2017 and the conclusion shoud be published on January 2018.
